Product Features

A comprehensive tool to manage your Apache Cassandra clusters

AxonOps allows you to monitor & alert your Cassandra performance characteristics, events & logs, cluster health status, as well as taking care of the regular operational tasks such as backups & repairs.

Metric Dashboard

The AxonOps dashboard is pre-configured and well laid out in order for you to easily visualise the performance of your multiple Cassandra clusters across all of your data centres, allowing you to quickly identify problem areas, as well as setting up alerts for any of the available metrics. AxonOps efficiently captures all of the Cassandra metrics, as well as the OS metrics at high resolution giving you precise insight of your clusters.

Logs and Events

AxonOps agents collect logs from log files, as well as internal Cassandra events such as “repair” and JMX calls.

Logs and Events dashboards show the events, overlaid with performance charts allowing you to easily correlate performance anomalies with events and logs.

Service Checks

As a site reliability engineer, service checks and the RAG status dashboard gives you great confidence in how your platform is operating. Regular checks against your processes, open ports, service health can be quickly implemented and deployed with minimum setup.

Logs and Events dashboards show the events, overlaid with performance charts allowing you to easily correlate performance anomalies with events and logs.

Alert Integrations

Alerts can be configured for multiple services including Slack, Pagerduty, SMTP, and generic webhooks.

Notification routings can be configured based on severity set by alert rules. For example, you can configure “Info” and “Warn” to Slack, and Critical to Pagerduty and SMTP.

Each alert rule can also be configured with specific alert routing. You may have separate Slack channel for backup alerts and CQL query latency alerts.

Cassandra Repairs

Cassandra repairs are essential for maintaining the data integrity across all replicas. It is a highly confusing for many users of Cassandra with steep learning curve. AxonOps takes away the pain of running repairs for you. Simply enable the Adaptive Repair and let it look after your data. Adaptive Repair process constantly monitors the performance of your Cassandra cluster, and regulates the speed at which it executes the repairs. It automatically throttles the repair process during busy times, and catches up when the cluster is less stressed.

Backup and Restore

There are very few Cassandra tools that allow to setup Cassandra data backups as easily as AxonOps. It allows you to specify your backup schedules, against a number of target storage providers including locally mounted volumes, AWS S3, Azure Storage, and Google Cloud Storage. It efficiently stores your backup data and manage the retention for both local snapshots and remote storage.
