Email and password sign-in for AxonOps Cloud

Email and password is the default AxonOps Cloud sign-in method, one of the methods described in AxonOps Cloud authentication. AxonOps Cloud manages the account identity and password directly: the email address is the account identifier, and the password is stored and verified by AxonOps Cloud.

This differs from the other two methods:

• With SAML single sign-on, the organisation’s identity provider authenticates the user and AxonOps Cloud holds no password.
• With social sign-in, Google or Microsoft authenticates the user, and no separate AxonOps password is set.

Signing in

An AxonOps Cloud account and organisation are required first; creating them is covered in AxonOps Cloud account.

Sign-in is at the AxonOps Cloud console. On the login card, enter the registered email address and password, then select Log In. A successful sign-in opens the AxonOps Cloud dashboard.

A forgotten password is reset from the same card. Select the Don’t remember your password? link and follow the reset process.

Change password

Password and security settings are managed from the user profile. In the dashboard, open the account menu at the top-right corner, next to the light and dark theme toggle.

The account menu leads to the user profile, which has a Security section. Under Change password, select Change. AxonOps Cloud sends an email with instructions to complete the change; the new password is set by following the steps in that email.

Changing the password does not affect the account’s multi-factor authentication configuration.

Multi-factor authentication

Multi-factor authentication (two-factor authentication) is controlled in the same Security section. The Enable MFA toggle turns multi-factor authentication on or off for the account.

Multi-factor authentication uses the Google Authenticator app, which must be installed on a mobile device. After MFA is enabled, the first sign-in prompts the user to set up Google Authenticator before the login completes.
